    Beech Acres Parenting Center ("The Beech" as we like to call it!) has a current need for a Behavioral/Mental Health Leader to provide collaborative leadership to our team at the Warren County Learning Center in Franklin, Ohio.  This role is responsible for leading a team of mental health practitioners to success by supporting mental health assessment, therapy service, community psychiatric support treatment, mental health groups, and psychophamacological services.  This role is eligible for a sign-on bonus! 

    • Oversee and ensure that quality services are provided to children and their families through the use of best and evidenced based practices and strength-based interventions in alignment with our strategic outcomes and definitions. 
    • Provide leadership and management of the school based service delivery continuum in collaboration with internal and external partners.
    • Provide clinical and administrative oversight and supervision as required and needed to ensure staff objectives and job expectations are clear and staff has the support, knowledge, materials, procedures and protocols to perform the work as written and expected and that result in program, agency, and contractual outcomes and obligations being met. 
    • Perform required performance management activities and conduct program development activities that result in a collection of competent staff who are engaged in and meeting individual and program results and expectations. 
    • Manage program budgets by ensuring that monthly, quarterly and annual targets and thresholds are met.   Ensure ebbs and flows within the programs and services are managed. 
    • Carry out and closely monitor human resource activities for staff and contractors. This includes position planning, hiring, individual staff development, team development and culture and alignment of staff capabilities to program needs.  Ensure staff alignment and engagement with agency vision, mission, direction and principles.   
    • Actively participates on a clinical team of behavioral health leaders and managers providing overall leadership and direction to the continuum of behavioral l health services.  Provides or delegate to SME all clinical training and development activities across these services as a part of this team.  Manages and maintains an appropriate customer emergency system including the on-call pager and supervisor back up. Ensures compliance with use of Columbia Scale in emergency situations and supports use of PERC referral form guidelines for all possible inpatient assessments/admissions.
    • Participates in program enhancement and development activities including those related to grants, donation and/or request for proposals. Explores development of community based therapy team.
    • Participates in agency and community committees and activities that ensure and address issues within the overall system of care. 
    • Manages relationships with school partner administrative staff to ensure highest customer service objectives are met. Collaborates with and supports Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Principal and Assistant Principal at the Learning Center.


    • Masters Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Counseling or related field is required.  LISW/LPCC licensure is also required.
    • A minimum of 3-5+ years of experience providing behavioral health services for kids and families.  Prior experience providing services in a school based setting is a plus.
    • Previous leadership experience is preferred.  You must be a strengths-based leader with the ability to coach and support a team to success. 
    • A high level of proficiency with computer based applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel. 
    • Collaborative, encouraging, and committed demeanor.  Ability to lead and coach teams while building strong relationships with school administration.
    • Valid driver’s license with auto insurance coverage at $100,000 per person, $300,000 per accident, and $100,000 property damage. 
    • A background check and Bureau of Motor Vehicles check is required for this position.
