    Beech Acres Parenting Center (“The Beech” as we like to call it!) is seeking a Part-Time Family Peer Support Provider (up to 20 hours per week) to provide family peer support to parents at Academy of World Languages (O'Bryonville).  The Family Peer Support Program is designed to help support families with school-age children who are experiencing behavioral difficulties, or who need support in managing services and resources for their child or family.  Family Peer Support Providers assist parents in avoiding common pitfalls when searching for community services, empowering parents to ask questions, providing positive interventions that are family-driven and child-centered to strengthen and meet the needs of the family. This role allows you to share your experience as a parent or caregiver of a child with a behavioral health and/or mental health diagnosis with others in the community, and help families navigate through their journey.  This role requires frequent travel throughout the community and a willingness to maintain a flexible schedule to support the needs of families. 


    • HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Shared experience as a parent or caregiver of a child with a behavioral health and/or mental health diagnosis, as well as knowledge of community based services is also required.
    • Valid driver’s license with auto insurance coverage at $100,000 per person, $300,000 per accident, and $100,000 property damage.  You may be providing transportation for families to various appointments, so you’ll also need to be comfortable transporting others.
    • Available to work flexible hours at times and travel throughout the community to support home visits, office visits, community meetings, etc.
    • Passionate about sharing your experience, resource knowledge, and journey with others in the community.
    • A background check, Bureau of Motor Vehicles check, and pre-employment drug screening is required for this position.
