Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Our organization seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Development Coordinator. The Development Coordinator provides direct administrative support for the Development team through donation processing and acknowledgement, database data entry and support, and supporting fundraising and donor development efforts. This position works closely with members of the Development team and assists with projects from idea generation through full implementation

 

  • Record donations promptly and accurately in donor database Raiser’s Edge
  • Produces and mails gift acknowledgment letters
  • Assist with the timely execution of direct mail and digital campaigns, including printing, folding, and stuffing mail pieces, utilizing online marketing email tools, email communications, and interfacing with the printer and mailing house to meet deadlines.
  • Assist with timely printing and mailing of event invitations, nametag preparation, on-site registration, and serve as the lead contact for event reservations and coordinate the process.
  • Assist in the successful execution of In-kind Donation Programs including collaborating with program staff and external donors and prospects
  • Assist with the coordination and engagement of agency Volunteers for Development fundraising activities
  • Assist with the coordination of BAPC community outreach events aligned with department goals of growing community will and annual fund
  • Assist with the production, addressing, and mailing of donor stewardship pieces.
  • Assist team members with recording actions and data in Raiser’s Edge.
  • Updates and maintains accurate data on all donors and gifts
  • Assist with generating and preparing donor reports and gift reports.
  • Provide general administrative support required for program/team as requested in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and send communications to internal and external partners as indicated.
  • Manage team members’ calendars/schedule appointments, as requested
  • Coordination and organization of meetings and groups as requested
  • Manage filing system (paper and electronic)
  • Manage department financial procedures, including coding and submitting invoices/bills
  • Manage department office supplies
  • Assist with special projects as needed

 

 

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or related area preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in an administrative-based role, preferably within a development, sales, or marketing setting.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • High level of organization and ability to track multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge or other CRM database preferred
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed
