Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Provides day-to-day oversight and leadership of Empowerment Services' multi-disciplinary functions. Manage staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and implementation to ensure high-quality standards and program development.

 

LEADERSHIP:

  • Serves as manager for empowerment services within WAF and is accountable for team performance of goals, overall performance to goals and staff development.
  • Manages financial program elements, including budgeting, check request approvals, and customer contracts.
  • Ensures service delivery is provided to families through best and evidenced-based practices and strength-based interventions in alignment with our strategic outcomes and definitions.
  • May facilitate team or organizational training based on areas of subject matter expertise.
  • Works cross-functionally across With All Families, identifying areas for collaboration, especially in serving families in multiple services.
  • Will oversee the provision of Family Centered Treatment (FCT) in a specified catchment area for up to 5 FCT Clinicians.
  • Utilize Situational Leadership to guide the provision of the supervision process to determine the appropriate amount and method of supervision provided.

SERVICE DELIVERY:

  • Engages in health integration and service continuity along with our business partners.
  • Ensures staffing and infrastructure are in place to support service delivery for parents, kin children, and families referred. Inclusive of our NSP coaching model, Triple P Parenting, Family Centered Treatment, needs assessments, and assisting parents in identifying interventions that promote parent knowledge and skill-building.
  • Participate in learning and ensure humility, collaboration, authentic dialogue, and solution-focused practices.
  • Engage in planning activities to ensure productive implementation of models and enhancements by attending planning meetings, participating in QI projects, collaborating with the implementation team, and conducting rigorous feedback sharing.
  • Provide coverage for high-level cases, office support, and other service delivery requirements to provide continuity of care for families.
  • Complete the Wheels of Change online training course within 8 weeks of hire.
  • In addition to the online-based training and required readings, the certification process requires Field Certification: the videotaped or observed demonstration of competencies in the field with real clients.
  • Provide phase-specific FCT individual/group supervision to FCT Clinicians as well as guide the FCT Team Supervision process.

COMPLIANCE:

  • Maintains standards of practice in good standing with state, local, and accreditation requirements.
  • Tracks, analyzes and reports key indicators and creates a predictive model of program needed inputs to achieve desired outputs using lean principles.
  • Ensures high-quality customer service for parents, children, families, ODJFS/County Services representatives, health centers, and community stakeholders through collaboration and communication.
  • Attends and engages in practice and partner meetings (and other meetings, as appropriate).
  • Maintain data, certifications, and documentation procedures that are current and accurate per ODMHAS, COA, FCTF, and ODJFS standards to meet utilization requirements and audit thresholds.
  • Maintain new and recurring contractual agreements per ODMAS, FCTF, ODFJS etc
  • FCT Supervisor will provide oversight to ensure that all licensing requirements established by the FCT Foundation are adhered to. Examples include, but are not limited to, ensuring fidelity to the model with respect to dosage and fidelity documents, timeframes for staff certification in FCT, and maintaining at least 1 approved FCT Supervisor per site.
  • Duties are subject to change to meet funders' and agency contractual obligations

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree is required, preferably in a Social Services/Human Services area of study + Minimum of 3-5 years of experience meeting the needs of kids and/or families.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role is preferred.
  • Experience in planning and project management.
  • Knowledge of child welfare, mental health, community resources engagement and/or population health is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a child welfare system setting is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effectively communicating with internal and external customers.
  • Outstanding ability to build and foster trusting relationships. Strong networker who can engage diverse audiences and meet families where they are. 
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Must work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and to engage and motivate teams towards achievement of goals and targets.
