Position Summary: This role combines direct service delivery with supervisory responsibilities. The specialist provides Family Centered Treatment® (FCT) to families facing challenges such as mental health issues, substance use, and abuse in community and home settings. Supervisory duties include supporting staff as they progress in the 4 stages of FCT, oversight of FCT cases, review of mental health assessments received from OhioRISE and supervision for staff in achieving Ohio Certified Prevention credentials (RA, OCPSA, OCPS)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Staff will provide structured, goal-oriented, and time-limited Family Centered Treatment® (FCT) in the natural environment to families who need assistance recovering from a variety of issues, including but not limited to mental health needs, substance abuse, physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, and neglect. FCT® will be provided to children and families as an alternative to other services, including residential placement. The FCT and Prevention Team Lead must complete an intensive training program and work with some of the most challenging and complex client systems. They will be required to work with the entire family system and address problematic areas of family functioning as outlined in the FCT Model. In addition, this person will review Mental Health Assessments to ensure they meet Medicaid billing criteria.
