Accounting Manager - Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, timely financial reporting, and supporting the mission through sound financial management. This role plays a critical part in supporting the mission by assisting the Director of Accounting and Director of Finance with managing financial statements and budgets, strengthening internal controls, overseeing accounting staff, and ensuring the organization meets nonprofit financial standards, grant requirements, and regulatory obligations.
This role is intended to grow into a key leadership position with progressive responsibility within the accounting department. The Accounting Manager will work closely with the Director of Accounting and Director of Finance while initially focused on managing accounting operations and ensuring compliance but is expected to assume responsibility in leading and managing an accounting team.

Financial Reporting and General Ledger Management
Grant and Fund Accounting
